Printmaking is my love! I love seeing how something can change with just a tweak or two. I also like to use Chine-collé in my prints, which is similar to collage, but instead of gluing the paper or fabric, it gets run through the printing press.

Treeprints

My Treeprints collection is a series of drypoint etchings with Chine-coll� on cotton rag paper. I am interested in seeing how a single design can look different with different materials and colors. Paper is hand-torn. General dimensions are 11"x15"; exact size may vary slightly.

Deafness

This theme started out as a self-portrait assignment in a painting class. I thought about who I was. I know many people with hearing loss who will strongly aver that they are not their hearing losses, that their hearing losses do not define who they are. But I feel my hearing loss does define who I Iam. Because of my hearing loss, I am constantly deciding where to sit, and how to tell people how they can help me to hear and understand them. I've used various media to explore who I am.

waterway maps

This series started with a photo taken from a plane, of a waterway. I liked it so much I wanted to make a print. I made several monoprints from a linocut.
